Are any licenses required?
I am a licensed FAA certified UAG (part 107) pilot. Which allows me to use my drone for any commercial purposes.
My drone is registered by the FAA as well.
Are there any laws or permits required?
As drones have picked up in popularity there can be many laws that are in effect by organizations such as the FAA and your local city ordinances.
Generally they include the following:
400 ft. above ground height
Any flying over people require that they are part of the project.
Many city parks require a permit be secured ahead of time where price can vary.
There are a multitude of airspace restrictions based on proximity to airports and other infrastructure and temporary restrictions can also be in-place based on other events.
How long does it take?
Of course each project depends on the complexity and scale. With that said, most projects require prior planning before hand, a few hours for pictures and filming, and possibly more time editing afterwards.

Yes, I am insured through AIG for personal and property damage up to 2 million USD.
